Hollywood Is Calling! - May 20
For the project you need to recast five major actors/actresses for your myth. For each character you will need to import a picture from the internet and then write a paragraph for each person. Answer the following questions in your paragraph:
1. What TV shows/movies has this actor/actress starred in before?
2. Why would he/she play the part of ________ well?
3. How would this actor/actress attract audiences to see the movie?
Make sure that you include a title at the top of your notes as well as your name somewhere on the playbill. The more polished your project looks the better grade you will get. Remember that even with nice handwriting it is hard to write on the ipad and make it easy to read. You might want to consider typing most of your text and adding bubbles etc. with your finger.

Modernized Gods - December 13
Get ready to put on your creative thinking hat! Pick one god or goddess you are familiar with and look up information about them. Try either the app on your ipad or go to www.mythlab.com. Once you have an idea of what they looked like, now modernize them. What might they look like today? What clothes would they wear? Hairstyle? Favorite car? Any tatoos? What would they have on them at all time? Once you have drawn your God, write a 1 paragraph description about them (this will help save those of us who CANNOT draw!).
It's all Greek to me - December 6
At Camp Half Blood, Annabeth is teaching Greek to Percy. Today you are going to take a turn at trying to write with the Greek Alphabet. You will use the orange worksheet as your guide and the white worksheet to show your work. The first spot is for you to put your name and then practice it in Greek. (You will have 20 minutes to complete this!)
Once you are done, you need to take one dialogue box from the book (not a sound, one where there is actually talking) and spell it out using the Greek alphabet. Next week we will switch up the papers and try to decode them!

Word Foto - August 23
To get things started with our classroom theme, you are going to be using the iPads today. Your first task is to go to the WordFoto app. Using your type 1 writing prompt from earlier today, you will create a piece of artwork that represents you. Mine is shown as an example.
Alter Ego
Get ready for your first task! We've spent the first few weeks talking about different gods and goddess in Greek Mythology. Now it is your turn to pick who you would want as your alter ego. After our short time together you might think that Hades, God of the Underworld, is my alter ego. Ha!!! I'm laughing aloud with you right now. NOT!!! JK! No seriously, not funny. :) Don't focus on who you think you might be, look at it as who you want to be. Maybe it is Hera because she was Queen of everything or perhaps Artemis because of his strength. Once you have selected your god/goddess write a one paragraph blog post telling me who you would want as your alter ego and why.
